Meeting Rules and Info

Western BCA’s Membership Meetings are open to all WBCA “members” (that is: WBCA League Operators, registered League Player Representatives and elected Members-at-Large). Non-members (league players) are also allowed to attend membership meetings and they can ask questions and participate in discussions but they cannot vote.

Western BCA’s Meetings are open to all WBCA “voting members” (WBCA League Operators, registered League Player Representatives and elected Members-at-Large). Non-members (league players) are also allowed to attend the meetings where they may ask questions and participate in discussions. However, only members can vote on motions or participate in elections. At annual meetings in May, we elect BOD (Board of Directors) members as well as other positions such as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Members-as-Large. Click here for Position Descriptions. Dues and fees, budget and other business that affects Western BCA throughout the league year will also be on the agenda. All members are encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings and must be present to vote.

Meeting notice, agenda and supporting documents will be distributed to all members via email two weeks prior to any meeting. If you plan on attending a meeting, RSVP to the Secretary at secretary@westernbca.org, print all documents and bring them with you to the meeting.

Registered Player Representatives can attend and participate in meetings, serve on committees and run for office. Many Player Reps volunteer to help at our regional tournaments. Each sanctioned Western BCA league is allowed one Player Rep for every 30 players in that league. If you would like to get more involved in Western BCA, talk to your League Operator about becoming a Player Rep. Player Representatives must be registered with the Western BCA Secretary at least 15 days prior to the meeting in order to attend meetings.

Agenda Items may be requested by any WBCA member or player in a sanctioned WBCA league. A player doing so may also request permission to attend that meeting in support of his/her agenda item. Use the Agenda Submission Guide to explain your issue and submit it at least three weeks prior to any membership meeting. You will be notified of the disposition of your request.
